i finally developed the pictures from our New Years Eve spent with our kindred spirits, Sheila & Chris (rory’s amazing aunt and uncle whom we look up to and love a whole lot). the evening was amazing and strange – kind of like a dream – where moments can be both beautiful and sad and exist on a plane of existence far away from time, transcending our known physical universe… time has always been a funny thing to me & i’ll never forget how strange it was on that night… the one night where time exists for all and we actually lost track of it – instead of counting down the seconds to a new year of possibilities we were somewhere else. our minds were wrapped around life and our own personal enlightenment. we shared a piece of each other sitting around the table – speaking with our hearts. we lost ourselves in time as if we were in a place where it didn’t exist .. it was a very powerful way to ring in the new year & rory’s 25th birthday… cheers to a year full of change, growth & hope.
a word on hope,
“Hope is the thing with feathers – that perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops
at all.” – Emily Dickinson (shared by sheila)
