For the second year in a row I was unable to attend our family’s annual Moore-Powers Xmas Eve celebration. We’ve been getting together with the Moore’s for as long as I can remember. In my younger years we’d always go ice skating and then have dinner but since I was in Middle School/High School we’ve been doing a potluck, bonfire and Christmas swap. So, from now until forever Xmas eve will always make me think of my Mom’s vegetarian chili, Dad’s 12 foot tall bonfire and Nancy’s amazing swap gifts.
Thanks to technology this year I was able to be “skyped in” which was weird but fun because my Mom decided to spice things up this year and give everyone a mask to wear. Mine didn’t come in time so I had to improvise… and I’m pretty sure everyone had a grand ol’ time in front of the camera! Ohh, I love this family of mine..
